Olja? 50101 år 2005 --> 50400 idag?

Hej, min brors Polo skall enligt servicebok ha olja motsvarande VW 501 01. Går jag in på Mekonomen föreslår de VW 504 00 via regnumret.

Har 504 00 ersatt 501 01 eller måste jag hitta just 501 01 till brorsans bil? Läste någonstans att 5w-30 kan vara för visköst för vissa motorer?????
